Don Camillo is a character created by Giovanni Guareschi in a series of books, and later radio shows and movies about a typical small town in Italy. Don Camillo is the priest in this village, and he butts heads over all kinds of issues with the Communist mayor, Peppone.
Filmed in Brescello, the five Don Camillo films provide a humorous insight into Italy after World War II.
